Austrians citizens and Members of the European Community do not require a Visa for incoming at Guatemala.

They are allowed to stay till 90 days without Visa.

For sojourn of longer duration with the purpose of making work practices, lending social work, voluntary military services or for study reasons it will be necessary to ask for a visa in the Main Office of Migration in Guatemala.

Following documents are required:

* Passport (valid at least for 6 months).

* Round-trip ticket

* Police certificate of good behaviour (with its respective translation to the Spanish).

* International Certificate of Birth.

* Certification of income, statements of account, letter or contract of the company or institution, where it will make the practices or where the studies will be continued.

In case the person is intending to stay cause of paid practices in his/her professional area, he/she will need an authorization on the part of the Ministry Work in Guatemala. This office has to be asked for this reason in Guatemala. Further it must be identify the person that will be granted for the contract there. The same documents and the requirements for this proceeding were indicated under point  ( 2).
